For any emergency, your first call should be to 911. Should you find yourself lost, turn on your phones GPS and dial 911. By having your GPS on, your exact position will automatically be transmitted to the 911 dispatcher. This will eliminate the "search" part of the equation. If you don't have, or don't know how to turn your GPS on, just make the 911 call. Your general position can be triangulated using cell towers in your area.
